Lisa Engles

Lisa is a pioneer and leader in bridging the mind-body gap in the health and fitness field.  She is the creator of the InnerState©  process, an evolutionary approach to coaching that Lisa developed over her 15 years of guiding athletes, personal training clients and fitness professionals toward realizing their highest vision of themselves. Through the InnerState© process, Lisa helps her clients shatter limiting beliefs and emotions so that they may emerge empowered to create and live their dreams. 

Lisa is a regular continuing education provider and presenter for USA Triathlon and Western Athletic Culbs where she teaches coaches and personal trainers how to work with their clients to recognize and let go of self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviors that block optimum health and fitness.

Lisa was the former head coach of the Silcon Valley Triathlon Club for five years (2002-2007) and has spent over 15 years as a professional personal trainer and coach, has run fitness and motivational camps for women, is the spokesperson for Progio mobile fitness device, and co- created and facilitated a Holistic Leadership Program for health and fitness professionals around the world.


A graduate of Cal Poly University San Luis Obispo, Lisa holds a degree in Kinesiology and is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and American College of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer. In addition to being a certified USA Triathlon Coach, Life Coach and Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner, Lisa is a board member of the National Alliance for Emotional Health.  She also studied movement based healing arts at Tamalpa Institute in Marin, California and spent 4 years formally studying how to facilitate healing and activate human potential via music and rhythm through the TaKe TiNa Institute based in Vienna,Germany.
